I have received a few inquiries about why I decided to start a blog on innovation in Israel and would like to use this entry to address the question. My background is originally in communication studies, with a concentration in advertising and public relations. In the communication industry, technology plays a huge role in every part of the process of developing and carrying out a campaign, including how data is collected and analyzed (i.e., Google Analytics, SPSS), researched (i.e., blogs and wikis), designed (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite 3), and so on.

My experience with this has included using the Internet as a primary tool for information, and executing several projects via web 2.0 programs. When I moved to Israel last month and started researching the technology industry here for ebizQ.net, I quickly began to realize how prolific and wide-ranging its technological advancements over the years have been and just what a hotbed of technology advancements this small country really is. Despite a thorough search for information on technology in Israel and my constant contact with Israeli innovators, I have found there to be only a small number of websites and blogs solely focused on these areas.

To help fill this void, I have created this blog to share the knowledge that I gain of the industry as I, myself, begin to find out more about technology in Israel. It is my hope that this will become a useful resource for anyone who wants to learn about the industry in Israel and who wants to get a pulse of Israeli innovation today.
