Israel21c and Arutz Sheva are reporting that Israeli biomass energy company, Genova Ltd., will be opening a pilot plant to produce heat and electricity from the pits of olives. Just as excess corn in the United States can be turned into bioethanol for a cleaner energy, olives, which are prolific in Mediterranean countries, can be harnessed for cleaner, environmentally friendly energy as well. The plant will be located in Julis, a Druze village in northern Israel.


Anti-hacking
Holon-based Israeli start-up, SecureVision is paving the way for affordable computer security for small businesses. According to an article on the Jerusalem Post website, SecureVision’s latest product, iAware, provides small businesses and organizations with a “detailed analysis of everything there is know about the computer systems’ vulnerabilities when they are exposed to the Internet.”

Hong Kong gets matched
The Jerusalem Post online also recently mentioned that online recruitment solutions leader, Rosh Ha’ayin-based, Redmatch has introduced its Real-Time Job Matching technology to the Hong Kong market. According to the company’s website, its matching technology “eliminates the ‘Goldilocks syndrome’ where recruiters and job seekers need to keep trying different avenues before they find the one that is ‘just right.’” Instead, the Redmatch Recruiter system makes sure that both parties meet the needs of the other before a job candidate and employer “meet” online.
